Price Difference Invoice

If the price on the outgoing invoice (sales invoice) is higher than the previously agreed price, a credit note is issued by the seller to the buyer reflecting the price difference.

You (the seller) can create a purchase order (price difference) to record the credit note.

The credit note will create a credit to the receivable account (your customer).

Price Difference Invoice (Cost Increase)

After the normal sales transaction, if for any reason the seller (you) and the customer agree on a price lower than the price on the sales invoice, a credit note should be recorded reflecting the price difference. Because this difference increases the cost (depending on your perspective), it is called a markup (cost overrun).
