Key Performance Indicator Objects

A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a measurable value that shows how effectively a company is achieving its key business objectives.

For each Objective , at least one measure or key Performance Indicator should be defined and tracked over time.

KPIs show progress towards a desired outcome.

Strategic KPIs monitor the implementation and effectiveness of an organization's strategies, identify the gap between actual and targeted performance, and determine the organization's effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Good KPIs;

  • provides an objective way to see if the strategy is working,
  • makes a comparison that measures the degree of performance change over time,
  • focuses employees' attention on what is most important for success,
  • allows measurement of achievements, not just the work done,
  • provides a common language for communication,
  • helps reduce intangible uncertainty.
